Why Do I Need Vendor Insurance?

Venues and promoters often require vendors to have proof of insurance in order to showcase at their event. This protects vendors against claims filed for bodily injury or property damage from a third party.

Events attract large crowds. With a steady stream of people walking in and out of booths, people often trip and injure themselves or accidentally fall and break an item being sold. Should a participant decide to file a claim for an accident involving you and your booth, vendor insurance could provide coverage for accidents and negligence.

What Does Vendor Insurance Cover?

ACT understands each vendor has different needs when it comes to insurance; that is why we offer two event liability options.


Vendors planning to attend and promote at a single event can purchase vendor insurance under ACT’s Show Policy.

Vendors have the ability to select a policy length from the options below. ACT’s show policy meets most venue insurance requirements, and provides short-term general liability coverage for vendors.

General liability protects vendors from claims filed for bodily injury and property damage from a third party. This policy typically covers legal fees and medical costs associated with settlements.

Damage to Premises Rented $300,000

Annual Event Policy

ACT’s annual event policy provides a more robust set of coverages. This policy includes coverage for your products’ liability exposures, general liability, and coverage for your business personal property while you’re vending at a tradeshow, fair, or exhibition.

Optional Professional Liability $125
Raise BPP limits to $10,000/$50,000 $185

To qualify for ACT’s annual event policy, your annual gross sales must be under $100,000. If you do have more than $100,000 gross sales per year, contact the ACT customer service team for additional insurance options at 844-520-6991.

How Do I Get Vendor Insurance?

Annual policies start at only $265 a year. Show policies provide excellent general liability protection starting at $49 for 1–3 days, but can be extended to 90 days for a low additional premium.
