No matter how you create it, design it, or express it, art gallery insurance coverage is made for creatives like:
General liability insurance offers basic coverage to showcase in exhibits and galleries, but different policies provide different types of coverage. Your work is one of a kind, just like your business, so it’s crucial to find a policy that fits your unique needs.
ACT Pro starts at $24.25 per month and includes enhanced coverage for your fine art business beyond the gallery walls! ACT Go starts at $49 per event and includes basic liability protection as you exhibit your work.
Elevate your coverage with ACT Pro! Design your perfect policy by adding optional coverages that best suit your business.*
*Additional coverages are available only on the ACT Pro plan.
From juried exhibits to gallery pop-ups, your artistry deserves the freedom to shine.
ACT Insurance is made for artists like you, offering simple coverage that lets you pursue what’s next without the hassle.
Embrace the freedom to create and grow with the top choice in arts and crafts insurance.
Curate the perfect protection plan for your next exhibit with ACT! We make it easy to offer quick coverage and manage certificates of insurance in one place, at no cost to you.
Insure your art by adding Theft & Damage Coverage to your ACT Pro policy. Sometimes referred to as inland marine insurance, this coverage is designed to repair or replace the tools and materials you rely on to run your business and create your masterpieces.
It can also cover your work on display, in transit, or in storage. Keep in mind, while Theft and Damage Coverage is great for art supplies, it’s not the same as fine art insurance. This coverage is based on the Actual Cash Value (ACV), meaning it may cover the cost to remake a piece but not the retail value you planned for.
Every work of art is unique, and Theft and Damage Coverage ensures you’re covered for the work and materials, not the price tag.
An art gallery insurance policy covers common claims that may occur during an exhibit or opening night, like slips and falls or accidental damage to gallery walls.
If you opt for an ACT Pro policy, you can also receive coverage for:
ACT’s policies do not cover murals, performance or live art, graffiti art, three-dimensional installation art, physical structures (like galleries), or the hosting of an exhibit. Please read our policy exclusions to learn more.
You need fine art gallery insurance to protect your work, business, and the liabilities surrounding them. Accidents can happen during an exhibition, while your art is on display, or when it’s in transit — and having the right coverage keeps you financially secure when those unexpected moments occur.
Gallery curators and art directors often require liability insurance to ensure you’re covered in case your artwork causes any accidents or issues with the gallery space or its visitors. The right coverage ensures you’re set for success, from showcasing to selling.
