Flea markets & swap meets are a popular way for vendors to meet new people, attract new customers, and sell their products. Whether you’re attending for the first time or you’ve been attending for years, it’s important to be aware of the risks you face at these types of events.
Common accidents we see flea market and swap meet vendors face are:
These types of accidents can lead to lawsuits, medical bills, repair costs, and more. With swap meet and flea market insurance, you can have help covering these types of expenses.
Think about your personal and business finances. Do you have enough money to cover the medical expenses of someone who claimed they were injured in your booth? Or if your tent accidentally collapsed and damaged the booth of the person next to you, would you be able to pay all the bills that come from that incident—both yours and the other persons?
There is a better way to combat these financial risks. When you purchase flea market and swap meet insurance for artists and crafters, you get the necessary coverage you need to protect yourself and your business.
At minimum, vendors for flea markets and swap meets need general liability insurance. This is required by most events that ask you to carry insurance.
General liability insurance only covers damages and injuries to third parties caused by your business. If a product you sell causes any injuries or damages, you would need Product Liability Insurance.
At ACT, we offer two types of insurance plans to meet your needs:
