Another year is coming to an end, which can only mean one thing: It’s the holiday season! During this amazing time of year, many people have time to relax and prepare for the new year. Even artists and crafters will take some time off to be with their families and enjoy the holiday break. Since a lot of your life revolves around your arts and crafts, we thought it would be fun to compile a short list (after all, the holiday season isn’t THAT long) of movies about arts and crafts (or artists and crafters) that you can watch during your holiday break.
Note: Some of these movies are ones that you won’t necessarily want to watch with your grandma. We have provided the MPAA rating and some useful information about the film, but you should keep in mind that this is simply a list of some arts and crafts related movies and not necessarily ones that we would recommend.
The Monuments Men – Rated PG-13 for some images of war violence and historical smoking. A platoon is tasked to recover art masterpieces during WWII. While not necessarily about artists, the film tells the story of the Allies’ attempts to recover priceless art stolen by the Nazis.
Bonus: “The Rape of Europa” is a documentary that provides more information about the actual events chronicled in “The Monuments Men.”
