This time of year we often get caught up in thinking about what gifts we want as well as the gifts we plan to give others. However, for many people the holiday season is a time of need. At ACT Insurance, we wanted to reach out and give to those who need our help the most.
The opportunity came through a Salt Lake City non-profit called “The Road Home.” This organization provides a low barrier shelter for people who are homeless as well as a daycare and preschool for homeless children.
While The Road Home is able to provide a warm place to stay, daycare, and preschool, it needs help to provide a daily lunch for these children, which for many of the children could be their only meal of the day.
The employees at ACT Insurance took part in making enough meals for two days worth of lunches. They then delivered the lunches to The Road Home. Over the next year, ACT plans to continue to provide The Road Home with lunches and support those who are need in our local community.
